*Apollodorus is mentioned briefly in act 2, scene 6 of [[William Shakespeare]]'s [[Anthony and Cleopatra]]. The pirate [[Sextus Pompey]] goads [[Mark Anthony]] about his lover [[Cleopatra VII|Cleopatra]] once being married to [[Julius Caesar]], his friend.
