Toledano was drafted into the IDF in 1991. He volunteered as a paratrooper in the [[Paratroopers Brigade]]. He served as a soldier and a [[squad leader]]. In 1990 he became an [[infantry]] officer after completing [[Officer Candidate School]] and return to the Paratroopers Brigade as a [[platoon leader]]. Toledano served as 890 "Efe" (Echis) paratroop battalion [[Executive officer]] during [[Operation Defensive Shield]], led 101st "Peten" (Elapidae) paratroop battalion in counter-terror operations during the [[Second Intifada]]. Later on he commanded [[Maglan|Maglan Unit]] in the [[2006 Lebanon War]], including in [[Operation Beach Boys]].
