Joseph Leon Lignières

Joseph Leon Marcel Lignières was a French-Argentinian veterinarian and bacteriologist, the binomial authority for the Salmonella genus of bacteria.[1] Lignières was born on 26 March 1868 in Saint-Mihiel, Meuse, France,[2] and died 19 October 1933 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.[3]
