Shen was born
Shen spent his entire career at Huashan Hospital. He was a pioneer in using biomedical research to affirm the pathological bases of TCM concepts,<ref name=":1">{{Cite web|url=http://news.sciencenet.cn/htmlnews/2019/3/423669.shtm|script-title=zh:沈自尹院士逝世
He published more than 100 scientific papers and six [[monographs]].
