Its a story about Benedict boys home. Jesse (James Tucker) and his four friends live and toil with other guys under strict guidance of Eugene who has a lovely daughter Sara (heather Graham). They have a music teacher Jack Cabe who sis into rock and roll and teaches them the same, much to the irritation of Eugene who wants to fire him but leaveslet him stay him after a warning.Jack then tells guys to affordsomehow arrange a radio and listen to the show midnight rider. Jesse bets with the guys that he willwould fuck Sara butinstead falls in love with her.

These guys go to the club where they see people enjoying rock n roll to the hilt and jesse isgets inspired and gives a impressive performance on stage. Jack cabe gets into an alterationaltercation with the town sherrif who siis miffed with the wayward ways of his and decides to find the truth about his past.

At school guys come in touch ofwith girls while givenattending lecture on sidethe polluting effects of modern music and television.One of the guys who sis attracted to Sara tells her about the bet. After her initial anger she is won over by Jesse by his honest demeanor and truth.

Jack cabe is discovered to be a murderer on the run and he runsflees afteron seeing cops at his place. Jesse steals Eugene's car and goes to himjack where jackhe confides about an accidental murder hethat didhappened defenddefending his colored friend in a club where they were calledinvited to playgive rock n roll performance . Jesse asks him to stop running but jack turnsasks him downto andshut turnupand turns him away.

Jesse comes back to the boys home and does all he can to be safesurvive there. Even ignoring Sara to keep himself out of trouble with her dad.

At a festfair where Benedict's boys band was asked to play, startsthey begin with usual music but on seeing jack cabe surrendering Jesse toomans comes out if closetup and starts playing rock n rollsroll much to the delight of young people who immediately respond immediately and dance butwhile inviting unpleasantdisapproving gestures from elders. This is theThe last scene where Eugene is shown unsuccessfully trying to stop the band while his daughter rises up with joy ready to disclose her relationship with Jesse.
