Syed Ahmed El-Edroos was of [[Arab]] [[Hadhrami people|Hadhrami]] descent. He was a [[Ba'Alawi]] [[Sayyed]] of the [[Bani Hashim]] meaning he belonged to a [[Hashemite]] family i.e. a direct descendant of the [[
