Paul Pantano: Difference between revisions

Pantano received his first role appearing on the series ''[[Police Rescue]]''. He appeared twice on police drama series ''[[Water Rats (TV series)|Water Rats]]'', in which his second role on the show earned him a Young Actor's Award at the [[Australian Film Institute Awards]] in 1998. Pantano has appeared in many roles on Australian television throughout his career. In 2001 he played the part of '[[Jack Scully]]' in ''[[Neighbours]]'', a role which was later potrayed by [[Jay Ryan (actor)|Jay Ryan]]. He received his first leading role in 1998 when he was cast as 'Marcello Di Campili' in the children's television series ''[[Crash Zone]]'', playing the character for two seasons until the show's cancellation in 2001. His other leading roles where in the short-lived [[FOX8]] drama series ''[[Dangerous (TV series)|Dangerous]]'' and ''[[Breakers (TV series)|Breakers]]''. Pantano has also appeared in many recurring roles on popular series including ''[[Wildside (TV series)|Wildside]]'', ''[[Stingers]]'', ''[[Blue Heelers]]'', ''[[All Saints (TV series)|All Saints]]'', the television mini-series ''[[The Pacific]]'' and his one of his best known roles was on ''[[Home and Away]]'' as 'Elliot Gillen',<ref>{{cite web| url=http://www.backtothebay.net/characters/gillen_elliot.shtml| title=Gillen, Elliot| publisher=backtothebay.net| accessdate=20 December, 2011}}</ref> in which he appeared in one of the most important storylines of the 2008 season.
