Football rivalry records
I've not read this page thoroughly enough to make every necessary change. However, the record for the Georgia/Florida football rivalry is incorrect. It is listed as 46-36-1, which does not match either school's count. Since this is the Georgia page, I feel this article should reflect Georgia's count (47-37-2) with a possible mention of Florida's count (46-37-2). Also the phrase "The biggest rivalries" is very subjective. While it could be argued that Georgia Tech is a bigger historical rivalry than Auburn, the fact that the Auburn rivalry is slightly older creates an objective basis for that comment. There is no such objective basis in claiming that Georgia Tech or Florida is a bigger rival than Auburn. The question of "biggest rivalry" is an often debated subject among Georgia fans, with little consensus. I am changing this to "other rivalries." I'm also deleting the reference to the 2008 Sugar Bowl. That might belong in an article on the 2007 season, but that one game alone is not important enough for this article. The 1981 (1980 season) Sugar Bowl and 1943 (1942 season) Rose Bowl would both be more significant bowl games in Georgia's history and neither are mentioned. If anyone disagrees with these changes, please explain why when you edit.Failureofafriend (talk) 11:09, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
: I just did some additional removal (took out the Tech record as well) since all of thie information is in the Georgia Bulldogs football article already and cited. Since the section refers to that article, then need to the same detail in this more general article is not needed IMHO. Also, I think the last paragraph about the Florida game should be removed as well for the same reason. That info should go on the Georgia Bulldogs football page if at all (it strikes me as POV).--Roswell native (talk) 15:13, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

"The University of Florida began closing the gap, going 15–1 between 1990 and 2003. Georgia has begun to even up the series since, winning in 2004 and 2007 while the Gators took the game in 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2009."
4-2 is an interesting way of "even[ing] up the series"... <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">— Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.215.126.98 (talk) 15:57, 9 September 2011 (UTC)</span><!-- Template:Unsigned IP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

::Cool. The only reason I even found that was because I went to high school with Dennis Felton and was surfing around clicking various links. I didn't even know until yesterday that he was with Georgia now. Last I knew, he was still with Western Kentucky. Thanks. BucsWeb 18:14, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

XM Satelite Radio section
Does this section seem a bit out of place to anyone else? Besides the fact that it uses terms like "yesterday" which are meaningless in an encyclopedia, the whole section seems to be an ad for XM. I don't think any other sports team article has an entire section devoted to one source of broadcasting--let alone radio. WTStoffs 07:29, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

:XM signed a big conference-wide deal with the SEC in the last year and this was part of that move. Several SEC schools had independent contracts with Sirius (e.g. Auburn) with time still left in the contract and will be moving as those expire. I don't see anything necessarily wrong with having the XM info here, but it is perhaps more relevent in the Southeastern Conference article coupled with information about the television contracts (CBS, ESPN, LFS). ::You're right that the language is odd. It appears to be copied directly from a press release and ought to be re-worded. I agree that it more properly belongs elsewhere, not in its own section. --Chancemichaels 18:14, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Chancemichaels

2008 SEC Tournament: The Dream Dawgs
This a nice section, but it's way too much detail for the main Georgia Bulldogs article. Note that none of the other sports gone into deep detail about a tournament or specific games. This article is for a general summary/overview of each sports team. I think it would be better to start Georgia Bulldogs men's basketball and put 2008 SEC Tournament section there there, especially since a summary of the 2008 tournament is already in the Men's basketball section of this article right above it? Any takers on creating a page for the mens basketball team similar to Georgia Bulldogs football? --Roswell native (talk) 02:01, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Cleanup/NPOV tags
It appears as an avid Georgia Tech fan (according to his user page) has added these tags to vandalize the article. User is not an admin and left no explanation. I have removed these tags. If someone believes they should be re-added, please speak up with a reasonable arguement. Brinkley32 (talk) 05:43, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Mark Richt's bowl Record
It's listed his bowl record is 5 - 2. I think this is wrong. On espn.com, which has the Bulldog's schedule from 2002 - 2011, it shows they appeared in 9 bowl games between 2002 - 2010. Further more, 2010 was UGA's first losing season since like 1995 going 6 - 7, as stated by the guys on ESPN. If that's true, that means UGA has won at least 7 games every year since 1996 which would make them bowl eligible. I'm not sure if the person who wrote that doesn't count small bowl games, but they are still bowl games. Well unless these sources aren't trustworthy.24.129.59.42 (talk) 23:24, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

WikiProject Proposal for the University of Georgia
Hello all,

I have started a proposal for a WikiProject for the University of Georgia. The UGA article and all related pages including Georgia Bulldogs is in need of much improvement and expansion. If you're interested in joining, please add your name to the supporter list. The University of Florida started it's own WikiProject and that gave me the idea. There is much work to be done! Your support and attention is much needed and much appreciated!

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

:Georgia Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs → Georgia Bulldogs – Like most schools, Georgia has been moving away from the "Lady" moniker for most sports teams. The only program consistently using "Lady" in front of their name for the past two years is women's basketball. Women's swim uses "Lady" off and on.
