Tsuneo Niijima

Tsuneo Niijima (新島 恒男, Niijima Tsuneo, March 16, 1955) is a Japanese astronomer.

He is a prolific discoverer of asteroids.[1]

He co-discovered the periodic comet 112P/Urata-Niijima.

Asteroid 5507 Niijima is named after him.
