Tshatshe is a village in Nanong Gewog. It is located in the extreme northern part of Pema Gatshel Dzongkhag. In the past Tshatshe was the capital of the Tshetshe Khochi (equivalent to Duke in the west). The nine storied castle of Tshatshe Khochi was destroyed by the Tibetan invasion in the early days during the reign of Desis'. After the invasion the palace was built in Tshatshe Khomotshe and its ruins are still apparent today. The main trade route of ancient times goes through the village which connected Tibet and India in the past. Today also in some area we can see this paths as big as some moter roads in Bhutan.
