'''Tshatshe''' is a village in [[Nanong Gewog]]. It is located in the extreme northern part of Pema Gatshel Dzongkhag. In the past Tshatshe was the capital of the Tshetshe Khochi (equivalent to Duke in the west). The nine storied castle of Tshatshe Khochi was destroyed by the Tibetan invasion in the early days during the reign of Desis' (1951-1907). After the invasion the palace was built in Tshatshe Khomotshe and its ruins are still apparent today. The clan 'Tshatshe Khochi' was the descendants of Prince Tshangma( Lhasey Tshangma, grandson of King [[Thrisong Detsen]]). The main trade route of ancient times goes through the village which connected Tibet and India in the past. Today also in some area we can see this paths as big as some moter roads in Bhutan.

Nanong Geog has 55 villages and 526 households with 2351 population. It has an area of 81.04 square kilometers. the geog is boarederd by Zobel and Shumar geog of Pemagatshel Dzongkhag and Lumang, Khaling, thrimshing and Uzorong geog of Trashigang Dzongkhag.

The geog has moderate cold temperate climate. The dry land cultivation dominates agriculture land use and paddy cultivation is minimal. Maize is the main cereals and potato, orange, ginger and sugarcane are grown for cash income. Its potential exist for horticulture development in ginger, sugarcane, groundnut, orange and cereal crops like mustard, millet, buckwheat and maize. The establishment of piggery and poultry farms is also possible.

The geog is popular for satshoen(soil based paint from Tshatshe) for traditional painting and tshatshe-goram. The constraints faced are remoteness from road, lack of access to market, lack of water irrigation, crop damage by wild animals and farm labour shortage. The geog has two BHU, RNR centre and three CPS. In the 10th FYP there is a proposal to establish one ECR and construct a new MSS at Lhungkhar in Yelchen.
