perspectives of science
Ans;
social and personal perspectives of science means science in the service of man and society .we are living in the age of science .science has made our lives comfortable .science affects men and the society in many ways .it has provided the man with mechanical comforts and medical facilities.it has also affects the thinking of man concerning various things of the world .previously the earth was supposed to be a flat disc but today we hardly find a person who does not believe that the earth is round .science has already improved the living conditions of man .human benefits by its applications ,driving a motor car instead of a horse-drawn vehicle ,being treated for a disease by doctor or surgeon rather than a priest or witch ,and being killed with an automatic pistol or a shell in place of a dagger.
Many ways of transportation and communications have shortened the time and place . motor cars and planes have made our journey safe and quick .we can travel from one place to another in no time .science revolution almost in all the fields of life.
1) Science in the field of health or in medical field
Science has done wonderful work in the field of health and in medical field .many new and lifesaving medicines have been invented . the diagnose of serious diseases become possible due to science. the inventions of x-rays ,Ct-scan and MRI etc are very helpful to the doctors with become able to diagnose and cure many chronic and hidden diseases easily .now by plastic surgery the deform become dignified .transplantation of human organs have become practicable .In fact science has given eyes to blind ,ears to the deaf and legs to the lame .
Many lifesaving drugs have been invented .due to modern surgical equipment the doctors performed complicated operations successfully.
2)science in the field of agriculture Science has helped us in the development of agriculture .it has helped man to build dams and dig canals for irrigation .there are tractors and other implements that can ploughed fields ,sow seeds and reap the harvest .with the passage of time the population increases and the agriculture land decreases continuously so to get more crops from small part of land the formers uses scientific methods .They uses pesticides and fertilizers in their form to get more yields per acre.
3)science in the field of communication
Science brought a revolution in the field of communication .the cell phones and computers have been invented ,due to which a person sitting in one corner of the world send his message to the person sitting in another corner of the world with in no time.by the inventions of cell phones ,computers and internet the world become a global village
4)science in the field of transport
Science has improved the means of transportations .in the past the people used to go either by horses or camels or walked from one place to another which takes from days up to months and the journey was not safe as well ,but now the science bring a revolution in the means of transport .fast aeroplanes ,steam ships ,cars and railway trains are invented which make the journey faster and safer .now a person can go from one continent to another in a few hours.
5)science in the advancement of weapons
Science has done great work in the preparation of advance weapons ,many dangerous and advance weapons has been prepared . science introduced advanced weapons like guns etc, which people use for their security .science has introduced deadly weapons ,with the help of these advanced weapons one can be protected from the danger of robbery .science is bringing advancement in preparing of weapons day by day , these advanced weapons can be used for the defense of country as well as for self defense .
6)science in electronic and print media.
Science has bring revolution in print and electronic media .with the help of electronic media one can easily know whatever is happening around the world . Media has been advanced to new dimensions. we can sit in our home and offices and able to know what is going around the world .we can get breaking news what is happening in our country by switching to TV channels .
7)science in the field of biotechnology
Science has brought great revolution in the field of genetic engineering .cloning is 0ne of the most important achievement of genetic engineering . genetically cloned plants and animals has been produced .Cloning has been done by the genetic engineers in plants such as cutting and grafting .transferring of gene is also one of the most important achievement of genetic engineers by using which a defected gene of a person body can be replaced by a healthy gene.
