If other signs in the area are "in English", it simply shows that whoever made the signs was inconsistent. Note I'm saying "inconsistent" and not "wrong", because what they are doing may very well make perfect sense in the context the signs are used. English Wikipedia, however, operates in a completely different context, and whether you agree or disagree with the exact structure of [[WP:RUS]], there is a strong consensus that at least ''some'' of the many existing romanization systems should be used for Russian names of places which do not have a [[WP:COMMONNAME]].
