:Hi Rogermccart, the basic 'commons' template will take you to the gallery page in the category, if there is one, but if there is no gallery page it will link to the category; the 'commonscat' template will always point to the category. I prefer to use the latter because when I'm following one of those links I want to see all the images in the category, not just the few that someone has chosen to put in the gallery, and I assume other people would want the same.
