Igalaa
Igala
editEtymology
editMany folk etymologies exist, the most widespread of them suggests it derives from ìgá (“estate, enclosure”) + álá (“sheep”), literally “Sheep pen”. Another possible origin is from the name Ọ́gáláà, a founder of the Igala people.
