follow up of #11372 for the still uncompleted items, xref #10418
This presents as a common problem in training of "why isn't X available" or "where is my history button" which we have to explain often, and sometimes is confusing users.
By having users self-discover they're not logged in (no they don't look at "login/register"), it'll save trainers more time.
We should re-add the disabled buttons but grey them out
history switch
history add
history create
workflows
generally make it look 100% like the logged in process
On hover there should be a popup "This feature is only available for logged-in users"
On click of those (visually) disabled buttons, perhaps redirect them to the registration page. (i'd be fine if this doesn't happen.) But a tooltip at least saying "Log in, in order to switch histories", "Log in, in order to create multiple histories", "Log in, in order to edit your history name".
