as a proof-of-concept, it would be nice to implement a wrapper around initialPanels and other functions generating default parameters, to open the app in "FACS/Gating mode" (i.e., multiple geneExprs plot, with maybe one dimRed plot?)
Cherry on top would be if the geneExprs plots are immediately chained to one another, and maybe also initialised with the first 2*(number_of_plot) genes (i.e. first two genes, next two genes, etc.)
