Point from discussion with @nsheff : failures are very correlated between samples, so messages with failing sample names would be more informative if we list the names of the failed samples conditionally, say, on there being beneath a particular fraction of all samples failing for a particular reason in order for the names to be displayed for that reason.
More concretely, say samples failed submission due to missing file(s). Only display the names of samples that failed for missing file(s) if the number of such samples is less than some proportion of all samples.
Place an upper bound on the number of sample names that may be displayed so as to not clutter the messaging for a project with many samples. Perhaps note how many samples were omitted from display if that case arises.
