  • Gecko: ❌ No first-letter selection occurs when « or – or — is followed by NNBSP, SP, or NBSP. Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:94.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/94.0
  • Blink: ❌ When « is used, the punctuation alone is highlighted when NNBSP used, but there is no highlight at all when SP or NBSP intervene. When – or — is used, the punctuation alone is highlighted in all three cases. Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/95.0.4638.69 Safari/537.36
  • Webkit: ✅❌ When « is used, only the punctuation is highlighted before NNBSP, but it works ok for SP and NBSP. When – or — is used, only the punctuation is highlighted, in all 3 cases. Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/15.1 Safari/605.1.15
