Quite frequently I create a document in one go during a lesson and afterwards would like to recreate the steps in the form of individual layers. This means stripping objects from the base layer by copying them to additional layers. For this process it would be quite helpful if cut or copied selections would retain their position on the page. Otherwise one has to meticulously move them around.
An alternative would be if there was a way to duplicate the top layer.
Thanks for this excellent tool! I think it is by far the very best on the market -- and it is nothing short of awesome that is is made available as free and open source software.
Feature Description
Cut or copied selections should remember their position on screen and be re-inserted at the same position.
Alternative Solutions
Duplicate any layer as an additional one one top of the stack.
Additional Context
