Mechanical Design Engineer

Main accountabilities and tasks:

Mechanical Design of centrifugal pumps.

Creating the mechanical design outputs such as 3D models, drawings in NX, uploading and releasing them in Teamcenter, SAP.

Preparation and submission of calculation reports and coordinating for customer approvals.

Pump design calculations as per international standards.

To provide technical assistance to project team to solve possible discrepancies & review and issue and follow-up the comments on reports, specifications, etc.

Review drawings and other technical documentation prepared by others

Making design recommendations and help to resolve difficult or unusual product design engineering problems

Verification of 3D models and 2D drawings against requirements and applicable standards.

Coordinating and reporting to Sulzer Pumps Legal Entities

Desired experience and qualifications:

Work experience: 3-5 years

Expertise (e.g. professional, technical):

Education: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Languages: English

Soft skills: Experience and expertise in NX is a must

Other: Knowledge of industry practices & standards. Experience in centrifugal pumps design a plus. Expert understanding of GD&T. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Good English skills (written and verbal). Be a team player.
