Message definition (Template:Steward requests/Permissions ) Certain permissions (notably [[$1|CheckUser]] and [[$2|Oversight]]) additionally [[$nonpublic-data|require]] users to sign a [[$agreement|confidentiality agreement]]. Users requesting these permissions must make a request below, and must also [[$stew-handbook|sign the confidentiality agreement]] with the [[$wmf|Wikimedia Foundation]]. The request is placed on hold temporarily, until the receipt has been [[$idn|formally confirmed]] by the Office.
