Beyoncé has one of the most famous faces in the world, but it must be pretty challenging to replicate as highlighted by a recently unveiled waxwork that looks nothing like her.

Today, the Grevin Wax Museum in Paris unveiled a new waxwork figure of the Texas Hold ‘Em singer and it really was… something.

The figure wore a racy sparkling low-cut silver bodysuit which was paired with rhinestone-encrusted fishnet tights and a silver shawl that draped over her arms.

The ensemble seemed to be based on some of the singer’s metallic Renaissance tour looks that she has become known for during her epic world tour.

The wax figure’s long brown wig was crimped in a classic Bey style, and the makeup was completed with a perfect smokey eye.

Despite the attention to detail in the hair and costume, something quite major was amiss – the singer’s face was totally unrecognisable.

The wax figure based on the 42-year-old looked rather different to the real-life star, with many fans taking to social media to share their confusion.

‘Ummm wtf is that..’ asked Cowboycarrter on X.

‘Girl who is this white woman,’ asked Ratedpaulie.

LuvKeyshun asked: ‘Who is that white woman cus that’s not Beyoncé-‘

’Why this look like beyonce body, with MJ face,’ asked GetawayCar_1017.

‘I stared at it too long tryna find Beyonce and found Michal Jackson…..’ added Sydneysageee.

‘Is Beyoncé in the room with us?’ said Folklore_Ari.

In striking contrast to this latest wax figure, Madame Tussauds received a huge amount of praise in 2019 for capturing the singer’s looks.

The Beyoncé figure wore a replica of her iconic 2018 Coachella outfit, featuring a cropped yellow hoodie and cut-off denim shorts.

Unlike some wax museums, Madame Tussauds frequently invites celebrities to come to their studios and model for them when they try to capture their likeness. It was unclear if this was a practice used by The Grevin Wax Museum in Paris.

The Grevin Wax Museum is host to a number of other celebrity figures.

Some of the figures are more accurate and instantly recognisable as Hugh Laurie, Harrison Ford, and Joe Biden.

Other figures that leave a little bit more to be desired include figures of Madonna and Barbie star Ryan Gosling.

This isn’t the first time that a Beyonce waxwork has shocked fans because it’s unrecognisable.

Earlier this year a Beyoncé’ waxwork in Blackpool with a bizarrely thick neck upset fans.

Some also said that this figure was white-washed – a worryingly familiar complaint.
