Erika Mayshar joined Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder and chair of its tax-exempt organizations and philanthropy practice in Los Angeles and Orange County, Calif., the firm announced Monday.

Mayshar’s clients include sophisticated tax-exempt organizations facing complex legal and tax issues and ultra-high net worth individuals deploying philanthropic capital. She advises family offices in transacting significant charitable contributions, creating succession structures, and enhancing their philanthropic impact, the firm said. Mayshar also works with corporate foundations to develop philanthropy models such as employee assistance funds, disaster relief efforts, and research grant programs.
