App still sucks. For the incredible potential this could have it's like idiots maintain development because it consistently has stability issues and unexplainable disabilities like not being able to use message with Alexa even tho there's a text input box at the bottom of the main page but doesn't register any attempt to open and send using text, it's like only voice is what's available but they didn't know how to remove the input box so they disabled it and left it on the home page! Morons!

For a couple of years the app generally worked well. Now it's a nighmare. I use it primarily for streaming music in my house and have multiple groups of Alexa's setup for audio in different rooms. Each Echo controlls a room (kitchen, living room, etc). The primary problem is that the volume has started having issues where changing volume in one room sometimes affects other rooms and sometimes the volume across one or all rooms goes to near zero. No rhyme or reason.

Keep getting "Amazon Alexa has stopped because this app has a bug. Try updating this app after it's developer provides a fix for this error." I have never experienced this situation ever before with any app. I use this app to chat with my granddaughter who is in PA. I am in South Florida. It's been such a blessing. The last week or two, a nightmare of not working or repeated disconnects. I hope whatever the problem is it gets resolved soon.

Our new design has made it easier to access your favorite features and devices. The Home page offers quick access to smart home controls, Echo management, and numerous Alexa features. The Devices page offers customizable views to manage your devices.
