Alfred Newman
Alfred Newman (March 17, 1900 – February 17, 1970) is an American composer, arranger and conductor of film music.

changeSoon after Newman arrived in Hollywood in 1930 and finished directing the score for Reaching for the Moon, producer Samuel Goldwyn offered him a contract to continue on as a movie composer.
Death
changeNewman died on February 17, 1970 at the age of 69, a month shy of his 70th birthday, at his home in Hollywood, from complications of emphysema.
