The state of things here

Hi Jimbo Wales!
This version [1] of
Category:Lists of scientists by nationality I find alarming.
A deletion discussion seems to already have been started, at
Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2017/Category:Lists of scientists by nationality.
All the articles in the category, have been nominated for deletion, without separate deletion discussions.

FYI: Jimbo does not edit here. Additionally, he is not a "higher arbiter" or anything like that; he will not settle disputes. Nominating all the articles contained within a category is not anything unusual or against procedure. Only (talk) 16:08, 6 August 2017 (UTC)

"Wp:Crystal ball" or a race horse attracting flies?

The discussion about the Lists of scientists has found its way to a discussion page on English-wikipedia:
... "has been frequently contentious at Simple Wikipedia and often needs to have his edits addressed in some way by admins or other users. He is currently making "List of ________ scientists" articles (all of which are up at RFD on Simple) which consist of only redlinked names. When I pointed out that guidelines state we shouldn't have redlinked only lists and suggested he should turn a reference into an article, he responded that the way I addressed him was "questionable", with an "objectionable tone" and opened a vague discussion about "politeness". I do not believe he has the mentality for contributing on Wikipedia, and would not be surprised if he winds up blocked on Simple English Wikipedia eventually. ... (talk) 20:48, 10 August 2017"

Eveyone has room for improvement - and also the administrator who wrote this.
Perhaps this might give an indication of the state of things here,

Your user page is perhaps not good enough

Your user page on Simple English Wikipedia only has gobbledegook or "tech speak" :

Would it be good idea if your current User page on English-wiki, be "mirrored" or copied to wikipedia.

Why do I doubt that Jimbo Wales one day decided that "Oh, I want my user page on a "Simple Wikipedia" to look like a "tech page",

while using a non-simple term:

Why would a "simple wikipedia" want to present Jimbo Wales in that manner (unless he considers his achievements as worth little more than

I am not arguing that there are seperate articles about the notable person.

List of Kazakhstani scientists

Hi Jimbo Wales,

I think that "Simple-wiki" should keep "Lists of scientists from ... (country)",
even if a table only has two red-linked names, with text that demonstrate notability, and notable references.

Is there any research that supports that by havings a list like this, then that will contribute to article's not being written?

There seems to be many countries "that do not have scientists", on this wiki.
If one continues to do everything as before, then the "zero scientists statistic" regarding various countries, will continue.

Wiki-naughtiness during unblock requests, or something that might come close

For your information:

An admin made a claim about my edits (on simple-wiki) - up to 10 August 2017.

The claims were made on another website (English-wiki), during an unblock request there.

I am posting the admin's claim here, in part so that anyone from simple-wiki (that chimes in at other websites, about my edits at simple-wiki,) will try to show their best behavior when discussing edits from Simple-wiki,

including next time I make an unblock request.

• The admin's claim/ comment/ "prophecy":

"I won't officially decline here (I'll leave that for another admin), but I'll say as both an English and Simple English administrator, I would not support an unblock. At least one admin "is not showing that he is an admin" (thru category on user page)

Instead of starting a separate thread, I am Simply adding a slightly surprising observation:

It seems like at least two admins, have user pages, that do not have category:admin at the bottom of the page.

It seems somewhat odd - however I have not upgraded the matter to "a concern", yet.

Trends in discussions: Use of the "cruthces" - exhaustion and do not waste your time

Hi Jimbo Wales,

Perhaps there is a new trend in some discussions.

At least one is using the word "exhausting".

And some are telling others what to not waste their time on.

Sometimes humans use crutches in discussions:

One has few arguments and then one pulls out the "exhaustion crutch" (or "exhaustion card"),

or the "do-not-waste-your-time crutch" (or -card).

If one or another thinks that they are getting exhausted from a discussion,
