This merges all the remains of drm_usb into its only user, udl. We can
then drop all the drm_usb stuff, including dev->usbdev.

successfully read, which it no longer does.

The buffer passed to usb_control_msg may end up in scatter-gather list, and
may thus not be on the stack. Having it on the stack usually works on x86, but
not on other archs.

c930812fe5ebe725760422c9c351d1f6fde1502d 11-Jan-2013 Hans de Goede <hdegoede@redhat.com> udldrmfb: Fix EDID not working with monitors with EDID extension blocks

udldrmfb only reads the main EDID block, and if that advertises extensions
the drm_edid code expects them to be present, and starts reading beyond the
buffer udldrmfb passes it.

Although it may be possible to read more EDID info with the udl we simpy don't
know how, and even if trial and error gets it working on one device, that is
no guarantee it will work on other revisions. So this patch does a simple fix
in the form of patching the EDID info to report 0 extension blocks, this
fixes udldrmfb only doing 1024x768 on monitors with EDID extension blocks.

451023dc32d4542c21b52ad1692e6e01cb75b099 15-Aug-2012 Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> drm: remove the raw_edid field from struct drm_display_info

Neither the drm core nor any of the drivers really need the raw_edid field
of struct drm_display_info for anything. Instead of being useful, it
creates confusion about who is responsible for freeing the memory it points
to and setting the field to NULL afterwards, leading to memory leaks and
dangling pointers.

Remove the raw_edid field, and fix drivers as necessary.

This is an initial drm/kms driver for the displaylink devices.

Supports fb_defio,
supports KMS dumb interface
supports 24bpp via conversion to 16bpp, hw can do this better.
supports hot unplug using new drm core features.

On an unplug, it disables connector polling, unplugs connectors
from sysfs, unplugs fbdev layer (using Kay's API), drops all the
USB device URBs, and call the drm core to unplug the device.

This driver is based in large parts on udlfb.c so I've licensed
it under GPLv2.
