Anitta, son of Pithana, was a king of Kussara, a city that has yet to be identified. He is the earliest known ruler to compose a text in the Hittite language.

His official was named Peruwa.

Biography

Anitta reigned in the 17th century BC (short chronology) and is the author of the Anitta text (CTH 1.A, edited in StBoT 18, 1974), the oldest known text in the Hittite language (and the oldest known Indo-European text altogether). This text seems to represent a cuneiform record of Anitta's inscriptions at Kanesh, perhaps compiled by Hattusili I, one of the earliest Hittite kings of Hattusa.

The Anitta text indicates that Anitta's father conquered Neša (Kanesh, Kültepe), which became an important city within the kingdom of Kussara. During his own reign, Anitta defeated Huzziya, the last recorded king of Zalpuwa, and the Hattic king Piyusti and then conquered his capital at the site of the future Hittite capital of Hattusa. He then destroyed the city, sowed cress over it, and laid a curse on the site..

Larissa de Macedo Machado (born March 30, 1993), known by her stage name Anitta, is a Brazilian recording artist, songwriter, occasional actress and dancer. Anitta garnered international fame in 2013 after releasing her debut single "Show das Poderosas". In November 2014, she performed at the Latin Grammy Award, becoming the youngest Brazilian singer to perform at the awards.

She signed a million-dollar contract with Warner Music Brasil in January 2013 and released her debut studio album, Anitta in July of the same year, which went on to receive a triple gold record certificate and double platinum certification by ABPD. The first single from the album, "Show das Poderosas", became a hit and reached the top of the Brazilian Billboard charts. Its music video has been viewed over 100 million times on YouTube, with less than 2 years in the website.

Anitta was born in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on March 30, 1993. She is the youngest daughter of Míriam Macedo and Mauro Machado; her brother Renan Machado serves as her artistic producer. Her father divorced her mother when Anitta was still young.

Anitta is the debut studio album by Brazilian recording artist Anitta, released on July 3, 2013 by Warner Music. The album's lead single was "Meiga e Abusada" released in February, followed by "Show das Poderosas", released in April. The song reached number one on Billboard Hot 100 Airplay in Brazil and has sold more than 24,633 copies on Brazilian iTunes Store. The album sold more than 40,000 copies in just 10 days in Brazil, being certified as Gold by Associação Brasileira dos Produtores de Discos (ABPD). The album was preceded by four singles, "Meiga e Abusada", "Show das Poderosas", "Tá na Mira" and "Não Para" and when released in presale on iTunes reached in less than twenty-four hours of the most downloaded first position of the virtual store, reaching first place in Brazil. The album sold over 40,000 copies ten days after its official release, later being certified Gold. The album had a notable performance in digital terms also, selling 24,633 copies in the Brazilian iTunes. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Brazil.
