Spatial Technology Platform

Explore our platform capabilities

Spatial transcriptomics, multiplexed immunofluorescence, and other imaging-based spatial technologies have enabled biologists to study single-cell gene and protein expression with spatial context to answer critical biological questions in a variety of animal models, tissue types, and clinical samples.

The Spatial Technology Platform (STP) further expands the impact of spatial -omics through comprehensive support–from study design to data acquisition and processing–for a broad range of users.  We also maintain an active research arm that develops and advances cutting edge spatial, imaging, and computational technologies.

Collaborate with STP

We provide full stack support of spatial studies, beginning with advice on study design; progressing through sample handling and data acquisition; and finally to providing tools for low level data processing. We consult on data interpretation and provide resources for self guided data analysis, serve as collaborators on large scale biological projects, and collaborate to develop new tools when existing methods cannot answer a stated question. We have experience with multiple small scale (<10) and large scale (>100) projects. Our organization is structured so that anyone, regardless of affiliation or not-for-profit status can take advantage of our capabilities. Finally, as a “Specialized Service Facility” (SSF) our prices are designed to be more competitive than doing experiments yourself, while still taking advantage of our expertise.

Research at STP

The STP has an active research wing driven by the leadership team that conducts independent research in the following areas:

  • Algorithms for preprocessing spatial omics and benchmarking
  • In situ Perturb-Seq
  • Cell painting in tissue
  • Light sheet spatial omics
  • Utilizing spatial tools in new contexts
  • Novel computational and visualization techniques
  • And more…
