Bill Kicks Ass At Destroying Series so Suck It Everyone Neener Neener
Well you have a lot more finished than I do and once you factor in my abandoned and unsure of continuing my list is in the same realm.
At the moment yes but some are very low priority. I need to add my abandoned list which mostly consists of series that I would need to reread entirely to finish. Probably under 10 series.
Thanks Angela.
Finished The Other Wind the last book in the Earthsea Cycle but skipped book 5 because it is all short stories and I wanted to finish the narrative first. So will need to read Tales from Earthsea next.

My unfinished series section grew by two today. Finished the first book in The Belgariad series by David Eddings and learned that there is a 7th book in The Walking Dead Governor series.
Adding the total incomplete (99 for 332) is a bit daunting! Christ I don't want to know mine and yet have to. Dresdan files alone is 1/17, LOL.
Not abandoning anything that is listed. I need to add my abandoned series still.
The totaled numbers are certainly daunting but I like to know what I'm up against.

Added my Abandoned series. The last 3 series I read over 10 years ago and have completely forgotten the story so would need a reread of the whole series. Might add them back to uncompleted in the future if I decide to read them.
Wow, great list Bill! I was looking to see if we had anything in common, but then started to find series I want to add to my tbr :)
Good luck completing those series!

I'm just glad someone else in this group actually liked Red Rising! It's one of my favorite series!

I was feeling the same way after seeing everyone else abandoning it.

Updated my priority for each series but they are pretty fluid. Most that I marked low are due to availability. I get a lot of kindle/audiobooks from the library so if the series are available there it automatically bumps a series up to medium. My library has a great audiobook selection and I can usually do at least 1 a week with no effort. So a series like the Eddie Lacrosse series which the first book didn't blow me away will get done just because it is available and hopefully will get better as the series goes on. Not that it was bad but just something I probably wouldn't pay for.
You're right - we're totally comparable when it comes to series progress. Maybe we'll have to tackle a few of them together. You've also started quite a few I've had on my TBR forever.
You make me curious how many series I've actually finished... Knowing that ratio might make me feel better.

Your list makes me think I am going to be adding a lot of titles to my already bloated tbr. Will have to see what we can line up to read together. I need to finish certain books for challenges and it will probably take up most of my remaining reads this year but hope to get into more of this groups reads next year.
My ratio of finished series doesn't make me feel better at all.

Likewise - I think we could make a lot of progress. Looking forward to 2017 lol.

So I was going to polish off the last 3 of 5 Dark Tower graphic novels but it turns out that there are now 15. I'm trying to decide how to count them since the original 5 I was intending to do are all one set that are prequels to the main series. After that there are 5 for each of the first two novels. Should I break them up into groups of 5 or consider it one long series?
The last book for the second novel came out just last month so I'm guessing there are going to continue with the rest of the main series as well.

Id go with your suggestion to break up trilogies for the same reason of natural stopping points. :)
Think that is what I am going to do. I don't know if I will even read the rest was mostly reading them for the Gilead parts.
Finished my first series of the challenge with The Dark Tower graphic novels. Super sad. If anyone has read the main series they know why.
Bailed on Wall of Storms and moved it along with Lightbringer to my waiting for the series to be completed section. When the final books come out I plan to read all the books in one shot.
Nice! Maybe I'll wait start lightbringer until they're all out. I didn't realize the end was so close.
The fourth just came out and judging by his regular pace the fifth won't be out until at least 2018.
Oh... Haha in that case I'll probably start it again long before that (I put it down after 100 pgs intending to go back).
Finished Bloodsounder's Arc by Jeff Salyards. Really good series. Even though the story expands and the stakes escalate throughout Salyards manages to keep it centered around the main group and keep it personal. Looking forward to whatever he puts out next.

This is great to hear Bill. Jenna and I are reading the last book in the series end of December, so would be keen to hear your thoughts then.

Started two new series today Deed of Paksenarrion and Chronicles of Prydain. Moved Riyria Chronicles from finished to up to date.
My first thought was crap I just cancelled out the 2 series that I finished since starting this challenge. :)
Haha I think finishing a series holds more weight. 2 points for finishing one, -1 for starting a new one. You still come out ahead. ;)
Sheepfarmer's Daughter was a really good start for Deed of Paksenarrion. The MC joins a mercenary band and the adventure begins. I really liked that obviously though it is her tale and she is the center of it she isn't the hero in every situation. Will probably continue in the next week or so.
The Book of Three has some really great unique elements to it but a lot of it has also become standard. It is a nice quick read if you just want something light and easy.

Started the Vlad Taltos series over again after picking up books 6-10(already owned the first 5). Hoping I can pick up the rest by the time I finish the ones I have.
Nice! That bodes well for the rest of the series for sure. And thank you for the Alexander recommendation. :)
If and when I pick up the Jhereg books again, I will also have to start over because all I remember is that it's and awesome fantasy/UF hybrid. And, you know, dragons. Kind of wish I had time to tackle it now.

Did books 2-5 in audio the last few days to polish off the Corwin Cycle in The Chronicles of Amber. Going to take a break from it to knock off a few other audiobooks before doing the Merlin cycle(books 6-10).
Started yet another series this time with The Woven Ring by M.D. Presley first book in the Sol's Harvest series. Picked it up after the author did an AMA on /r/fantasy on Reddit.
It was really good. It was set in the American Civil War timeframe but in a unique fantasy world. The magic system was really interesting and had some unique elements I haven't seen used before. The female MC was a complete badass and was really well developed as her story came out through flashbacks.
