New York Times bestselling author Meagan Spooner grew up reading and writing every spare moment of the day, while dreaming about life as an archaeologist, a marine biologist, an astronaut. She graduated from Hamilton College in New York with a degree in playwriting, and has spent several years since then living in Australia. She's traveled with her family all over the world to places like Egypt, South Africa, the Arctic, Greece, Antarctica, and the Galapagos, and there's a bit of every trip in every story she writes.

She currently lives and writes in Asheville, North Carolina, but the siren call of travel is hard to resist, and there's no telling how long she'll stay there. She's the author of the award-winning Starbound trilogy (These Broke

Right now I have no plans to write a sequel for it, because I feel that Yeva's story (and the Beast's) is complete. I'm happy with where I left the characters. Never say never, but I think a sequel is unlikely.

I AM writing another retelling, however, which right now is due out Fall 2018. So while HUNTED won't have a sequel, there will be another book in a similar vein, so don't despair! :)(less)

The quick answer is that no, the two stories are not related. Different worlds entirely -- HUNTED is a straight-up fairy tale with magic and curses and mythical creatures, whereas SHERWOOD is a Robin Hood retelling with no literal magic involved. (Though it should still have that folklore/timeless storybook feel.)

The covers are similar, though, because the intention is to attract fans of HUNTED and basically tell them "hey, if you liked that book, odds are you'll like this one too." It's a branding choice the publisher makes (but that I'm totally in support of, because I loooove these covers!) to show that the books are in the same vein, and will probably also apply to the other retellings I write in the future.

As for the bows, well, I'm an archer myself and so I do tend to gravitate toward stories with archery. In HUNTED I made the "Beauty" character a huntress, hence the bow. In SHERWOOD... well, how do you do a Robin Hood retelling without archery? ;)(less)
