In the sun-kissed state of Queensland, Australia, two literary worlds collide at a fateful book signing. Jaxon Sunters, a charismatic author with a penchant for promiscuity, and Abigail Rosens, a guarded writer nursing wounds of the past, find themselves entangled in a whirlwind of passion that transcends the boundaries of their written words.
"The Book Signing" is a tale of hurt, healing, and the difficult but necessary art of moving on. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Queensland and the windy city of Chicago, this novel delves into the intricacies of trust, love, and the transformative power of self-discovery. Can Abigail overcome her trust issues and find solace in love, or will Jaxon's past be an insurmountable obstacle? In this Romantic drama, the characters learn that sometimes, the most profound stories are the ones we write for ourselves.
I received an arc book for free in exchange for an honest early review.
I truly wanted to love this book, I thought the story concept was actually new and different in a sea of sameness in the romance world. I thought the inner and outer struggles of the characters was well done, and I was mostly entertained.
However, there were some misses for me. The odd language choices which wavered back and forth between too formal and too immature caused some frustration for me. (The overuse of the word “whilst” in situations that felt too casual for it to be used for example) I also felt like some parts of the story were super rushed and others dragged on, leaving me a little slow to actually finish the book, sometimes it was just too hard to get into and I got a little bored whereas other times I was flipping pages like crazy.
Overall, it was a decent book, I’d for sure read it if I had access to it, but I’m not sure I’d recommend it to someone who is a bit more on the critical side.
I think the author has great potential and with some refining and final editing, she has a strong future!
Oooooo, I enjoyed this one. I surely surely loved this and am glad I picked this one out of a million to read. Jaxon and Abigail....two people who couldn't have been more same but also 180 degree polar apart from each other. Both carrying the same baggage, having walked the same path, having experienced the same tray of feelings, yet coming out of the tunnel with a different set of eyes and they then clashing together while one knew the identity of the other the whole time while the other had no clue when when it was literally in front of her face all that time? Amazing read. Tania Gold properly used this book to eff up my emotions LMAO, because she successfully made me feel the exasperation and annoyance towards Abigail when she intended to make us feel. And when I was milliseconds away from hurling my laptop across the room? Jaxon and Tiffany made sure that I was provided with a sugary drink as they ate Abigail's head off and I instantly relaxed. A beautiful beautiful read, seeing two emotionally wrecked people fighting life and opting different paths, holding so damn strong onto it yet yearning to incline towards the other path, not knowing what the future holds. I am absolutely in love with each and every nook of this book, the character of Jaxon and how it changed throughout the book made me believe in that small amount of people who CAN change and who DO change. Abigail had her flaws but it was so refreshing to see her OWN up to it and actually work her way through things. Both were writing a self-help book yet Tania managed to write both views in her self-help book LMAOOOOO.
Anyways, loved loved loved this a lot, and especially the epilogue. I have read many epilogues and felt emotions through many, but never have I managed to come across a better one than this. Beautiful book with a great amount of effort and love. Definitely worth the read.

“Don’t worry about how she looks. She isn’t yours to watch.”
——
Whisking herself towards me, Abigail grabs me by the front of my shirt and whispers. “I promised myself I wouldn’t do this again, but lord help me, I am losing this battle with you.” Then her soft lips collide against mine.
——
"That’s what lead me to the bar that night. Led me to you, I guess.”
“Looks like the universe has been playing a little game with us.”
---
“Greg used to make jokes about me sleeping with anything good-looking and willing. Now, all I can do is remember you. That damn peach scented, pink hair,”
---
Jaxon steps closer to me, his mesmerizing eyes making the butterflies fluttering inside my stomach go tenfold. Then he leans in and puts his forehead against mine before he whispers against my lips, “No, I’m the lucky one.”
This book was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 read for me. I really did enjoy this fun take on a contemporary romance book.
I thought it was great how they were at the same book signing event promoting opposite opinions, each valid in their own way, with them both realising that there is more to the other than what they perceive at first glance. I also liked how half the book was set in Australia, I probably would have liked it even better if one of the authors was from Australian, but that's just a personal preference & them both being from Chicago did make the story. I however, do wish there had of been more closure between Jaxon & his brother at the end of the book.
I found the characters personalities amusing especially the playful banter between Jaxon & Abigail, overall it was a really enjoyable to read. It was just a nice easy book to read.
I loved it, a super simple but quick book. Definitely could have finished it in one day, but kids and sleep are essential. This was beautifully written, and their chemistry from the start was great. Both are doing their own things with their lives but are too scared to take that next leap because of what their books were about. Learning to accept themselves before loving each other. I feel like the Book definitely could've gone on some more with their story but seeing the epilogue at the end in their daughters pov was a little let down but possible that the author is going to give the daughter her own book. The spice was great, not too over the top, kept it nice and fluffy still. 2/5 🌶 (that's just my personal spice rating)

This was such a fun read! Jaxon and Abigail are both so different yet so similar. And their first meeting is, of course, classically embarrassing! They just keep crossing paths, and despite their pasts of hurt and crappy relationships, they just may be exactly what the other needs to heal.
2024: I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving this review. This book was a very fluffy palette cleanser after a huge commitment and in-depth adventure with Iron Flame. I liked it for the fact that it was quick to read. I didn't find that I connected to any of the characters at all, and by the end of the story, I didn't have a hard time saying goodbye. I felt like some details were inconsistent; that I either logic'd myself or overlooked in favour of just finishing the story. Greg was the epitome of ick. To the -unth degree. Every scene he appeared made me extraordinarily uncomfortable. For what I'm used to, spice levels were fairly mild, and scenes were completed quickly. Would recommend as a quick time killer or palette cleanser before diving into a heavier story.

I really enjoyed "The Book Signing." The overall concept gripped me, and some standout elements made this romantic drama truly engaging. One aspect that caught my attention was how the steamy scenes deviated from the norm – here, the FMC took on a more dominant role, a refreshing departure from the usual romance novel dynamics. As the narrative unfolded, it became clear that Abigail and Jaxon shared a common struggle with past baggage, each coping in their own distinct ways. What hooked me was the exploration of how they sought to navigate and overcome these challenges. It added a layer of complexity that elevated the story.
Major kudos to Tania Gold for her prowess in character-building. Initially, I couldn't stand Jaxon, but as the story progressed, his complexities emerged, making him a character I could empathize with. Abigail, with her independence, strength, and willingness to confront her own faults, grew on me as well. I wholeheartedly recommend this book. Tania Gold's storytelling, combined with well-crafted characters and the exploration of themes like trust and self-discovery, makes "The Book Signing" a compelling read. I'm definitely looking forward to more from this talented author.
I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Not going to lie, I could not stand Jaxon in the beginning, but in an "I trust you as far as I can throw you" type of way. Arrogant to a fault. you know it is written how it is supposed to when it annoys you, the reader, and the FML (lol). I found the concept of two authors, with two warring books and opinions reflecting their past experiences. Plus I loved the added backstory touch of Jaxon and Abigail, unknowingly, being in the same place in the past at one point, and that time, although they never spoke to one another, formed and shaped how they became the people we met in the story.
I will say there were a few verbiage choices that ruined the flow for me. Overall, though, it was a good book and an introduction to Tania Gold's books.
Overall this is a quick easy read - the main characters are both authors at a book signing in Northern Queensland, Australia. One is advocating no promiscuity and abstaining from physical interactions (you know what I mean!) while the other is advocating that the casual hookup lifestyle is the way to go. One of them has no idea who the other is, and this sets up some interesting interactions where they each argue for their own approaches.
Yes its a predictable ending and there are a couple of reveals that add depth to the story but overall a quick easy read between series or other books
Where to begin with this one? I read the blurb and it got my attention. Two rival authors meet at a book signing. But the thing is they meet in a very odd way. You see one sees the other one having sex through the window of his room. Then it becomes a game to see how embarrassed he can make her. But it becomes so much more than that once they meet and actually get to know each other. But a twist of fate could completely destroy what they are attempting to build. This was a very cute enjoyable book with two enjoyable characters that at times you can easily relate too. The author did an amazing job writing this book and the characters.
I absolutely loved reading The Book Signing! The characters were so well-developed and relatable, and the storyline kept me hooked from beginning to end. The author did a fantastic job of creating a vivid and immersive world that I didn't want to leave. I found myself laughing, crying, and cheering along with the characters as they navigated through their challenges and triumphs. Overall, The Book Signing is a heartwarming and captivating read that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a feel-good book to escape into.
The teasing and the banter are top tier. I’m not normally someone that is a fan of kind of douche but funny guys. However Jaxon makes it work. Abigail is kind of a pick me but it’s not overly irritating. The author makes it work well. The book give cheesy wattpad love, in a good way. I recommended this book for people wanting to get into reading. Although the final fight/misunderstanding was a little annoying and unneeded.
This is the second book from Tania that I've read and glad that I did. I will admit that I did struggle a bit in the beginning with the MMC, he was the exact type I would avoid in real life lol
I loved how Tania was able to resolve their differences and give them their HEA!
This is the 2nd book of Tania Gold's that I've read. Really enjoyed this one. I could feel the sizzling chemistry between Jaxon and Abigail. It certainly was fun banter between them. Unique concept 👌
I really enjoyed 'The book Signing'. It was a fun and enjoyable read. The hot queensland setting made me look forward to my holiday. The spice was just perfect and Ioved the character description between Abigail and Jaxon. Overall, I gave it 5 stars.
Not my usual genre. I did enjoy most aspects of the book. It was a bit of a slow burn which isn't a problem, and I did enjoy the opposites attract storyline.
