We are introduced to bored and slightly wicked witch Tannith, who sends a letter to her cousins, sending them into a panic saying she is running away with one of their partners. I wouldn't say Tannith isn't evil as such, but she enjoys playing with the other three for her own amusement. Their family are forbade from using magic after one of their ancestors cast a spell with catastrophic side-effects. But this doesn't stop them, even though some of their magic still goes horrible wrong.
To be honest this book was not what I expected, it was a little childish in places, and I couldn't really connect to the characters. I think it should come with a humour tag. I think I was expecting something a bit more serious. I did enjoy it, and it was a fun read.

This book was no exception.
We meet Becky, owner of a little shop selling handmade soap, the business isn't doing to well, and after a rather traumatic relationship she is need of a little break from it all. so she heads to Skiathos after being incited by her Uncle look after hi villa whilst he's away on a trip.. Taking two of her friends along for the ride the girls have a fun filled 10 day stay on the island, and tour around some amazing places. A few of which feature in the Mamma Mia films. It is filled with lots of laughs, amazing food, wine and great company. Made me want to be there myself tagging along with the girls. Mix in a handsome Greek restaurant owner and you have the perfect summer read.

I was drawn into the story immediately, Roses life has been anything but easy, brought up by her Gran and living one day at a time, after having life saving stem transplant surgery. On the death of her beloved Gran, Rose is given a note she had written for her, encouraging her to try and find the donor who helped save her life. On writing to the donor centre, Rose received a card back, showing a beautiful picturesque village in Cornwall on it. Having been given a job in a nearby area she decides to combined the two and try to find out who he is. Rose is an archeologist, I found this part of the book to be really exiting and interesting, the author has obviously done a lot of research in to the local folklore and mythology history. I love anything Arthurian so found the book even more entertaining.
The book is filled with wonderful characters, friendships and family dynamics that we can all relate to in our own lives. Really enjoyed the book and in fact had read it in a couple of hours. It was delightful.

This is the fourth book in the 'Clan Kendrick series' to be honest it is the first book I have read, but I will definitely be reading the other books This is the fourth book in the 'Clan Kendrick series' to be honest it is the first book I have read, but I will definitely be reading the other books in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed this, it was both highly entertaining and the perfect historical romance. I don't think my enjoyment was affected but not reading the previous books but it would have helped with the background for other characters.
It took me a while to get into the story as I felt the first few chapters were slow to progress, however as soon as Kathleen starts her adventure to Glasgow and meets Grant I knew it would soon become a joy to read. The book is full of brawl highlanders and smart, beautiful lasses who drive the men to despair but the men relish in their feisty personalities.
Kathleen Calvert is a head strong young woman who dreams of nothing more than returning to her beloved Ireland and to live her life peacefully. After a near scandal scares her Father and step mother she is sent off to the Scottish Highlands to her cousin Sabrina to keep a low profile. Unbeknown to her, her youngest sister has hidden herself in her carriage backs and all hell is about to break loose.
I really enjoyed the relationship build between Kathleen and Grant, both are so sent in their ways that they deny their feelings until they can't help but give into temptation.
My idea of the perfect historical romance, a dash of history, song family values and dynamics, rugged highlanders and head strong lasses. Mix this in with a dash of sculduggery and lots of romance you have the perfect book to snuggle up and get lost in.
