#DYK Duchenne and Becker Muscular Dystrophy (DMD and BMD, respectively) are among the most common inherited neuromuscular conditions in children? Molecular confirmation of both DMD and BMD can be difficult given the high percentage of causative intronic and small copy number variants (CNVs). Because genome sequencing has higher sensitivity than exome for detecting small copy number variants, and breakpoint analysis can determine the location and orientation of copy number gains, genome sequencing was able to detect DMD and BMD variants that other technologies, such as WES, could not. 📣 Three new #PD datasets are available on AMP PD. New sets include: SN Brain Data--new post-mortem brain cohort of 100 single nucleus participants which features clinical data, WGS data, and RNA sequence data from five brain regions. Untargeted Proteomics Data--new mass spectrometry-based proteomics dataset for 621 participants from PDBP and PPMI cohorts, derived from plasma and CSF samples. Targeted Proteomics Data--this includes a bridged targeted dataset that creates a unified targeted proteomics dataset for 413 participants.
