Google assistant is kaput?!?
Since the Gemini stuff GA never answers on my 8 pro. The microphone just searches now. So what good is that bar?!?

Yeah, you have to use hotword or power button to summon assistant (which would be Gemini)
They changed the settings so that it does that now. You can’t do anything unless you have an option in your settings to change the function of the trigger action but idk how android works
