This is one of my most used 3rd party app, on Windows, Android and iOS (less). So much so that I check myTickTick Calendar before my work Outlook calendar. (Can't connect my work calendar with TT as per office policy)

From past few days experience, I can say the app is having performance issues and steep fall in UX.

  1. Sync issues on Windows - I resolved it by classic uninstall & reinstall.

  2. Filters are not catching up all the tasks in certain lists with 30-40 tasks. Why ? The filter used to work flawlessly even that is having issues now.

  3. Also so many users highlighted the sticky notification on Android that is rolled back, without any notice. It was such a nice & cool feature to have.

Please do adequate QA on app for all platforms (esp Windows & Android, prolly coz they are what most of your subscribers use, my guess. )

I have a daily recurring work template.

I have a few work check ins to perform at the start of my work day:

1 - meeting 1:

2- meeting 2:

3 - Check emails

The template repeats as it should, but meeting 1 and 2 i add notes depending on the daily meetings. These notes then are staying there for the next day, and thus i have to delete the info and retype.

for insstance yesterday:

  1. meeting 1: speak to HR about staffing numbers, bring up team development days

  2. meeting 2: look at costs of developing the website

Then when I load. up todays template, these notes will still be present when they should be blank.

The work around is that I have to create a note, insert the template each day. Thus increasing friction and extra steps.

Anyone know of this?


Video Recommendations? Video Recommendations?

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about TickTick Premium. I did decide to buy a one year subscription. I want to get the most out of the app, so I'm looking for YouTube videos or even a series of vids explaining some of the most useful features. I've found a few people on YouTube so far, but I'm wondering if anyone else has a recommendation for a creator who explains both basic and more advanced functionality for the app. Any video reqs?

If the cards of the tasks list had a similar layout as the new Agenda view from the 6.0 beta, it would be a great addition!

The entire card would be filled with the list color, instead of just a line on the left side and a blank card. I love this new agenda look, it's way easier to see the items at a glance.

New user, but I just setup a template for when I make bread, it's a check list of the different steps. Some steps have intervals of 2h, others 1h30, others 45 mins.

Right now, when I check the first step, I manually set the reminder time for the next one to 2 hours later. Then when I check that one, I set the next one to 1h30 later

Can this be automated?? Like, when I check "step one done", could it auto-remind me in 2 hours for the next task? Based on the completion time of the other task?

I feel this might be asking too much, but just in case. I was wondering

In our office we want to use TickTick with everyone, but if I assign a task to Employee One, their task now shows up on my Today list as something I have to do still. But the whole point of assigning it was so that I don't have to do it. But then it lingers there on my list.

How in the world is there not a way to not exclude "task assigned to anyone but me" from the today section?

TickTick, I've been a premium user for 8 1/2 years (3092 Days according to app) and with all the detailed and ridiculous features you have added over the years, how has this not made it into the app yet? Please, prioritize this so we can use it in our office.

I upgraded to premium so that I can assign tasks and collaborate with others on a project. They downloaded the app but have not upgraded to premium. If I want to be able to— for example— assign tasks to a teammate and have them be able to view and confirm that they saw/completed the task, do they also have to have the premium version?

Hi all,

When in habits, you can create sections for them… well I can’t seem to find where I edit these sections!

I’ve done it before but can’t figure out where it’s gone.

If I click the three dots next to the section heading, the only option is delete. If I edit a habit and click the list of sections there’s the option to add a new one but not to edit the others.

I’m on Mac. Thanks!

I am new to tick tick and cannot get my outlook calendar to integrate. The events dont update when changed in outlook or dont add at all.

I read someone recommend using zapier and I just can’t figure it out - if you use zapier to integrate outlook can you please provide me instructions?

I’m not even looking for 2 way sync (I’ve learned that’s not happening) but I just want my TickTick calendar to be accurate or else this app is useless to me.

I had tried to use zaps to automate a new outlook event adding to a list that would show on my calendar but they were coming in at the wrong time zone. But also that doesn’t solve the issue of integrating my existing outlook events to TickTick.

Please help!

Or recommend another app with similar functions but a usable calendar.

After switching the calendar view to agenda in the online beta version, when I tried to view my calendar in the non-beta online version and the desktop ticktick (under Linux), the calendar only showed a blank page (no buttons, no information, nothing). It worked after I switched the view in the beta version to one previously available (e.g. month).

Sync network issues on Windows app version - 5.5.1.0 ,

not syncing with Android app (last stable version on Android 14)

  1. Disappointed with TickTick, looks like strategy is to load the app with features, some will work & some will not.

  2. Keep introducing new Jazzy features and let the basic functionality go for a toss.

  3. I and many other users posted about sticky notification now not working on Android, no acknowledgement of that even.

The trust is broken in all these 3rd Party apps like TickTick, Todoist. Better to stick with Google Tasks, Microsoft Todo etc. Atleast their basic features are consistent.

I have a FOLDER for work that houses multiple lists. each list is either a project or a focus that i have todo items for. and for personal todos i have 1 list for personal.

do you all have a folder and different projects or use tags?

For example, i run digital marketing for my company so my structure looks something liek thisl;

  • WORK FOLDER

    • google

    • facebook

    • linkedin

  • PERSONAL LIST

Do you do something like this with multiple lists or use tags? or just have one massive list of todos for work?

looking for ideal structures as i am doing a half way audit to try to optimize my workflow.

so far things are working but what i find myself doing is forgetting to properly throw todos into its respective project and they all end up in a generic work folder instead of its assigned project. but i think its generally better to compartmentalize my brain and my working mode by saying; this pomodoro im working on all things google, next all things facebook.

am i right in this thinking?

Hi. So I'm working on editing out clips from some old footage and have made a recurring task, time blocked in my schedule. The video in question is easily split up into sections, so I decided that the recurring task in question have sub-tasks referring to those sections of the video - I don't have time to finish them all in one sitting so this would be a great way to track my progress over the coming weeks.

The problem is, I don't think the subtasks are carrying over with the recurring task - I have not marked the task as 'complete' because I haven't finished the subtasks involved (obviously), and was hoping they would carry over to the next time slot designated to the task automatically.. but when I click on the next time slot allotted to the task, the subtasks don't appear there.

Is there a way to do this? Does tiktik do it automatically and I have to wait until the day? Is there a smarter, better way to do this?

Hi everyone,

I would like to pull task & focus-time data from TickTick to calculate how much I have delayed the start of task X.

The API does not seem to have and endpoint for this and ticktick-py apparently only returns the total stopwatch time without Start- or Endtime. Any insights would be greatly appreciated as I want to build a tool which calculates your total procastination time etc and uses this for daily/weekly reports!


Account storage limit? Account storage limit?

I am a premium user. According to the FAQ, the limit for attachments is 20MB size and 99 per day for premium users. However, there must be a storage limit per account, and I'm curious what it is.

Hypothetically, If I hit my cap every day I'd be uploading close to 2GB of data a day onto AWS.

My real use case that led to this question is that I'd like to upload about 10 photos per week, and I'm curious how long I can do that before the oldest photos start getting deleted from the server.

Anyone have any ideas?

I just started using TickTick. I am inundated with random thoughts throughout the day that require tasks. So I quickly open up TT on my macbook with shift-cmd-o and then type in a quick note. I don't have specific due dates in mind for these tasks though. They're just random things I know I need to sort later on.

When I go to look at TickTick later on to organize my tasks, the list seems unwieldy and I'm not sure how to batch process or quickly resort items by date.

Separately, I'm also flustered by the way tasks just pile up in the calendar view. Is this actually beneficial? I'm not sure.

Seems like what I want is for TT to not assign a due date at all, but I'm not sure if I just need to adapt my own expectations and adjust to how TT is set up by default.

Do I just need to reorient my workflow or should I be changing something in TT to make my workflow less jammed up?
