One-Round Davis, Old -Time Pro Boxer, Dies Here at 77. One-Round Davis, a well known heavyweight boxer from 1912 to the early 1920s, died Wednesday in the home of a friend at 115 Saranac Ave. Davis, whose real name was George W. Jaus, was 77. He retired in 1953 after 32 years as a New York Central Railroad policeman. Davis' wife, the former Flora Flarity, died last Sunday and was buried Wednesday, the day he died. Survivors include a brother, Percy Jaus, Buffalo, and two sisters, Mrs. William H. Groll of Clarence and Mrs. George Schell of Elma. (English)
