Subdivisions
[edit]@user:Infovarius: I removed two statements because
- there is no source that states that Baikonur is actually a first-level territorial entity within Kazakhstan. There was an ISO code but this code was deleted recently. There is no indication that Baikonur has the same level of administrative significance as it is the case with Almaty or Shymkent.
- "Turkestan Region, end time: 18 June 2018" is nonsense. Turkestan Region became a thing that day. Before that there was a thing called South Kazakhstan Region. Q815330 should be split in two, as it currently covers two different entities with different times of existence, different names, different capitals, different population data etc.

- But Baikonur is legally in Kazakhstan (only rented by Russia) so it should be some type of its division. As for Turkestan, there was another item Q55312395 but it was merged. Probably removed claim some time ago was pointing to this item. --Infovarius (talk) 20:45, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
Regional indicator sequence
[edit]As "🇰🇿" is the regional indicator sequence for Kazakhstan (Q232) I restored it. English is the fall-back for all other. Please leave them there. @Nate Wessel: --- Jura 20:15, 18 March 2021 (UTC)

The +997 code is actually starts from January 2023 according to the source provided. The source mentioned that the full transition will complete in 2025. As a result, the start time of +997 in Q232#P474 should be January 2023 instead of 2025 and the end time of +7 should be 2025. 14.0.236.66 10:32, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
