[edit]Welcome Sphilbrick! You may add some help tools to user:Sphilbrick/common.js or (if you use the vector skin) to user:Sphilbrick/vector.js . Please see User:Rotsaert8000 (in Esperanto), Wikidata:Tools, and Wikidata:Tools/User scripts for candidates you may add. On the user:i18n-page you will see all WD gadget links. - Thanks for the welcome.--Sphilbrick (talk) 00:14, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
member of sports team (P54) again !
[edit]I saw you kept on adding statements with universities as values of member of sports team (P54) although I told you it's wrong. member of sports team (P54) only accepts sports organisation as a value, as you can see on the property's talkpage. Could you please stop this and try to research the correct value, which already exist in most cases (see 1 and 2) ? Thank you in advance. --Casper Tinan (talk) 13:23, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
- If you look at the edits I am making even as you were typing your response you'll see I've been correcting them. Give me a few minutes.--Sphilbrick (talk) 13:50, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for your good work
[edit]Hey, SP. I'm impressed with the progress you've made with women's basketball players and coaches. I get a window into what you're up to whenever one of the articles on my watch list pops up with your name on it with a Wikidata edit summary. You're doing a lot of good work. Keep it up! - Thanks for your kind words. I actually should be able to do a bit more starting now. I think I mentioned to you my frustration when entering several values for the same property. The entire process is boring enough but it went over the top when I'd have several members of sports team entries and have to start with the property each time. I just recently realized what should've been obvious, that the add button within the property box allows me to add another entry without having to specify the property again. You are probably thinking "well duh" but it wasn't obvious to me. Oddly, when I wrote up my initial reaction to the tutorial, I made mention of the fact that they were two "add" buttons and only one was explained. I'm slightly surprised that the editor didn't make a point of explaining the other one. I figured it out for myself and suspect that others may be able to figure it out for themselves but it sure would be nice to explain it in the tutorial.
- I'm not going to go back and backfill now but on the next items I'm working through I'll try to do a better job of adding the multiple employers and member of sports team.--Sphilbrick (talk) 17:58, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
