Description
English: Post Card Date: c. 1906.

Looking west along the Uxbridge Road towards Southall as a London United Tramway Company car crosses the river Brent via Hanwell Bridge, which had to be widened on the north side to provide the tramcars with enough clearance, as specified by the Urban District Councils. Notice that walls of St Bernard's Hospital, extended all the way to the bridge in those days. The white stuff on the roads is snow.

Image obtained with thanks from the private collection of Mr. P. H. Lang
