A few quick suggestions

[edit]

Saw this one pop up on GA and wanted to offer a few quick suggestions. Thanks for all your work on this one!

  1. Lead should probably be expanded a little bit to summarize the article.
  2. The clean-up tag in the references section should be addressed to avoid a GA quick-fail
  3. The bare URLs in the references section should have title, publisher, author, etc. added. -- Khazar2 (talk) 13:37, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It appears to me that this still falls short of the GA criteria in some areas.

  1. Lead-- the lead is too short to summarize this long an article; ideally, the lead should at least touch on each of an article's sections
  2. Bare links-- the bare URLs in the references list should be filled out so they'll remain verifiable if they go dead
  3. Clean-up tags-- the article still has a valid cleanup banner
  4. Copyediting-- at least some minor work here still is needed; for example, the sentence "In line with this tradition arose a fundamentalist Sufic movement which affected both the people and the ruling elite, leading to several prominent figures (including Uthman Bey b. Sulaiman Pasha Jalili) publicly emphasizing their sufic identities and calling for the “purification of the religious experience under attack from the many abuses and superstitions which tarnished its image"" has no closing punctuation.

These problems obviously aren't insurmountable, but since the nominator doesn't appear to have made an edit to the article yet and it hasn't been waiting long, I'm just going to close this for now without listing. I hope, though, you'll address these basic issues and renominate this one when it's more ready. Thanks to everybody who's worked on this one, and good luck with continued editing on it. -- Khazar2 (talk) 12:17, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
