There are lots of places where a multi-edit properties window or "batch edit" feature would be very useful. I'm talking about the kind of editing you get when you selecte multiple entries in a list and get a properties window that allows you to mass change a field for all of the selected entries (like in iTunes.) 

Addressbook in Thunderbird could use it. History or Bookmarks (Places) in Firefox could use it. Events in Calendar could use it.

I'm taking a wild guess and assuming this would be implemented at the toolkit level since it would be a facility that applies across all of the new world apps.
