Dear Pikiwiki, Thank you for uploading many images from the Frank Scholten Collection in Leiden. However, I have a question for you. Could you please when adding files either add a link to the original file in Leiden, or add a tag with "other version" to the original in Commons? This makes it much easier for re-users to use the highres tiff version and/or link to the original website. I add two photos as an example, in which I added the link to the other version. I undertand your position but it would be impossible to fulfill it as it would imply an extra work when handling the pictures.
On the other hand the pictures are intended to be used in the internet and not for print so the current resolution is more than resonable for that purpose. Sorry for not helping you.. Pikiwiki - Israel free image collection project (talk) 13:21, 17 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
