Čeština: Důstojník generálního štábu prvorepublikové československé armády plukovník Hynek Němec (* 5. dubna 1902, Volyně) se výrazně podílel na domácím protinacistickém odporu ve vojenské ilegální odbojové organizaci Obrana národa. Byl zatčen pražským gestapem, převezen do Berlína a po zostřených výsleších spojených s trýzněním byl dne 19. srpna 1942 za svoji odbojovou činnost v Protektorátu Čechy a Morava popraven ve věznici v Berlíně-Plötzensee.
English: Colonel Hynek Němec (* 5 April 1902, Volyně), an officer of the general staff of the First Republic Czechoslovak Army, participated significantly in the domestic anti-Nazi resistance in the military underground resistance organisation Defence of the Nation. He was arrested by the Gestapo in Prague, transported to Berlin and, after severe interrogations associated with torture, was executed for his resistance activities in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in the Berlin-Plötzensee prison on 19 August 1942.
