Commons requires that "PD-logo" images be considered to be as such not only under the copyright laws of the United States (where the Commons' servers are located), but also under the copyright laws of the country of first publication (country of origin), which in this case would seem to be Brazil. While it might be argued that this logo (badge) would be considered to be PD in the United States per COM:TOO United States, the situation with respect to Brazil seems much less clear per COM:TOO Brazil. If the Commons page about Brazil's TOO is accurate and Brazil's TOO is higher than the US TOO, then this would likely be "PD-logo" Brazil and thus is OK to for Commons. I'm not sure, however, whether the "considerably higher" wording in TOO Brazil is correct and it should actually be "considerably lower". So, what needs to be clarified is Brazil's TOO; in particular, if anyone can find any copyright court cases which might provide some examples of what kinds of logos Brazilian copyright law considers to be eligible for copyright protection would be helpful. Otherwise, I don't think Commons can keep this per COM:PCP.
I'm just going to add that English Wikipedia is treating en:File:Brazil women's national football team logo.png and en:File:Brazilian Football Confederation logo.svg as non-free. Of course, English Wikipedia might just be wrong, and those files might no longer be needed if the consensus is that the "PD-logo" licensing for this file is acceptable. -- Marchjuly (talk) 10:50, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
