Author is Charles William Jefferys RCA (August 25, 1869 – October 8, 1951). There is no crown copyright whatsoever. It was not published before 1929. Creuzbourg (talk) 17:54, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
- The source at Library & Archives Canada credits it to Sempronius Stretton, 1781–1842, consistent with the 1804 creation date. (The file is categorized accordingly here. I note we have a slightly larger image of the same picture at File:YorkLakeOntario1804SStretton.jpg.) Why do you think it’s Jefferys’s work?—Odysseus1479 (talk) 19:38, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
