A possible copyright violation. There is no evidence that the painter died before 1944 (as example: he/she could live from 1870 to 1955), and there is further no evidence that this drawing was published before 1923 (perhaps from the estate or found by the heirs) Vexillum (talk) 10:03, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am in contact with the de:Walchenseemuseum, which is the owner of the original. After explaining my intentions of using the image in Wikipedia, provided the copyright had expired (i.e. at least 70 years have passed since the artist's death), I received the name of the artist and the approximate year of creation, along with the request, that the Walchenseemuseum be stated as owner of the original. Although unfortunately I did not receive further details concerning the artist, such as the year of his death, I also did not receive notice that fewer than 70 years have passed since his death. But in order to eliminate all doubts, I sent another mail to Walchenseemuseum, explicitly asking about the artist's year of death. I expect this to arrive within a week.--Ratzer (talk) 10:29, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
My question to the Walchenseemuseum regarding the year of death of P. Pecher form March 1, 2015, unfortunately has not been answered until now (March 8, 11:00 CEDT).--Ratzer (talk) 10:10, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: The file is in use, there is no indication that the artist died within the last 70 years. If that's wrong, the image can be renominated for deletion, otherwise, it's in use. Ellin Beltz (talk) 21:12, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
