A map showing the political situation in Nubia before the Turko-Egyptian conquest

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A map showing the political situation in Nubia before the Turko-Egyptian conquest.

Notes: 1. This map is accurate from 1812-20, after the Mamluk arrival and before the Egyptian conquest. 2. The borders along the desert were not exact, this is just one way of showing it.

3. The Kashifs of Nubia were de-jure part of the Ottomans, and sometimes payed tribute to them depending on the situation in Egypt.
