Description
Nederlands: Militairen van de Force Protection, de Medical Task Force en het Nationaal Support Element ontvingen in Mazar-e-Sharif de NAVO-medaille voor hun bijdrage aan de missie Resolute Support, die het Afghaanse veiligheidsapparaat verstevigt. “Iedereen heeft de medaille meer dan verdiend en heeft het recht hem met trots te dragen”, aldus kolonel Mietta Groeneveld. De Senior National Representative benadrukte het belang van Resolute Support en noemde het nut van de toenemende Duits/Nederlandse samenwerking binnen de NAVO-missie. Nederland neemt met ongeveer 100 man deel aan Resolute Support. Na de uitreiking droeg Groeneveld haar functie over aan ranggenoot Edwin Lookermans (te zien op de foto).
